My name is Mouse Bird. Mouse given by my mother at birth and Bird from my father's lineage. I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2011 and have a Bodywork Studio in Bellingham, Washington. I am also a visual artist and freelance graphic designer.
Through my art practice I seek to inspire curiosity and connection to Mama Gaia. I strive to create works that will live a life of love and then fall back into the earth with great ease, to feed the soil magicians, and contribute to the great cycle of creative life-force energy. I believe that the physical material with which art is made is just as important as the mystery from whence creativity, mission, and passion are birthed from. My portfolio includes installation, stop-motion animation, sculpture, paper-cut, collage, pop-ups, and book art, primarily working with paper and other natural fibers. I offer design services such as logos, branding, websites, menus, posters, packaging, and other print & digital media.
I am drawn to massage for its exquisite demonstration of our innate need for touch. Touch brings us into our complex bodies and can transform pain energy and discord into health and harmony. Touch also encourages orientation to and connection between our inner and outer landscapes and helps us discover unexpressed aspects of ourselves. In my work I provide space for the unique processes of embodiment, unfolding, and healing to occur. Massage is a very intimate and energetic exchange in which I honor my client's needs and communication. I operate from a center of love and strive to be grounded and provide a safe container for authenticity and healing to emerge.
You can find me in my bodywork studio, dancing everywhere, crying at the feet of the forest, touching paper, and attempting to sow the world with seeds of Love. Love knows no bounds. It shatters all.
